With both hands, I can do 550-pounds max (dropped from 625 to 550 due to lack of lifting) now, and when I was in my deadlifting prime, I could only do 355 one-handed. Consider that I focused mainly on powerlifting at the time and he is focusing on football-related conditioning and lifting skills, so that's a near-Superman feat right there!

His most impressive feat for me was when he Deadlifted 500+ lbs then does a backflip then he squated 500+ then backflips then benches 400+ then backflips again, one right after the other.
I can't find the video but it's on his IG page.

You couldn't help yourself could you?
How many times do they have to warn you about it before you get the picture?
Using a made up source is the furthest thing from fact, if you'd like to learn about human strength capabilities and what type of body contributes best to what type of movements, we'd be happy to help you, if you want to continue this pointless L v T nonsense, you're probably not going to like the outcome.

Sounds familiar to the account of Bruno Sammartino crushing a hard apple with his bare hands (without digging in his fingers, of course). But here, Dan Hodge shows an amazing display of strength crushing the apple with a hand, with his fingers digging in on occasion. Once a former Olympian gone old:

NinjaTyler was a newcomer of sorts to me. He started breaking world records in various physical-related activities and lifts (recorded, world-record straight, non-cheating curl) from three years ago, which was when he began his YouTube channel. Russian dude is awesome, and in fact, he inspires me to work out at the college gym every single day. Check him out in the following videos and subscribe if you are interested in his channel!

Although his deadlift isn't world record (not even raw), his curls are. He should definitely go up against Faceless in StrengthWars.

World record deadlift for body weight (900 @206)RAW! What is this human made of?:

I will admit, though, his pull isn't all the way locked out, but it is right near there!

Looks good to me.
That's sumo stance which allows him to pull less distance, less strenuous on your back with more groin strength, (adductor) you'd have to see a side view to know for sure but I think he's fully locked out imo.
What an animal!!

Nice story and well presented, Polar. I see a stage nearby. No question there.

How long did it take you to recover?

Over here, the martial arts are quite popular. Have been for some decades now. Dutch fighters didn't do too bad in Japan back then. They inspired many. Most of those interested want to develop as fast as possible. Same for the muscle department. They go for it and the result is not a few walk from injury to injury.

Gyms are everywhere, but knowledge is not. Those that have experience tell me it isn't easy to convince young people. Many just don't understand that getting involved is a decision that affects your life. In order to get there as fast as possible, they are prepared to take all kinds of risks. I hope that doctors start giving some advice, as dope has become real big.

When working at the big cat facility mentioned in previous posts, I noticed that quite a few visitors worked for the armed forces and law enforcement. I also talked to a number of fighters. Mike Tyson was very interested in big cats. I heard he's doing shows nowadays. Would you be able to find an interview?

To be honest, it took me nearly a month-and-a-half to start lifting minimal weights again: not heavy, but minimum of what I could do for many reps. Then after three months of this, my biceps fully recovered (albeit a slight itch there for another month) and I started to lift heavy again. So, a total of 4.5 months before I could go back to business again.

Dutch fighters did well in PRIDE and K-1 in the mid-90s' and early 2000s'. I don't know what happened to most of them after that, save for Alistair Overeem.

Yes, powerlifting does have its risks and obstacles much like any other physical sport. A tiger doesn't stop hunting because its left paw is disarranged, it has to continue to hunt to live. Similar premise here.

I don't know about any interview of any sort, but I will look into what he doing lately.

I will definitely make more storytimes of various events that happened to me, especially during Spring Break!

Most bicep tears I see are usually with deadlifts, people usually have their arms bent when lifting and this causes a tear, you must always make sure to have your arms straight and to not jerk before the lift, people forget that it's their legs that start the lift off not the jerking motion.
It's never a fun injury, the bicep rolls right up and they usually need to come in through the elbow area and roll the bicep back down and attach it back and the opposite if it detaches from the shoulder. Did you need surgery @Polar or was it a partial tear?

I'm actually going in for inguinal hernia surgery this Wed, I knew it was coming, I've been feeling the pain in my abdomen for a while and it final ripped and my intestine popped through, I've been powering through and and still lifting and now I feel the same happening on my other side. I know it will come eventually (nature of the beast) but hopefully this forced time off will help with that. I'm really bummed about not being able to lift for 6-8 weeks and even then, not being able to get back to my 100% for longer but as hard as I've been on body throughout the years of fighting and training, I knew the break down would come. Unfortunately I think my days of PR'ing may be over and it may be time for preventive strength training more than anything else.

In regards to dutch fighters:
They used to rule the Kickboxing ranks, their style baffled the Muay Thai specialists of old. They implemented better boxing fundamentals and added it to their kickboxing style. Now that style is old and it's taught to every up and coming fighter and you're seeing great kickboxers from all over the world. One of my good friends and training partners is someone you should keep your eye on. His name is Giga Chikadze, he'll be fighting for the Glory title shortly.
