There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

the 3 majingilane were seen in 24th and in 25th only ScarNose was seen, I don't think Dark Mane and Golden Mane disappeared.

No one is missing, Sanjay.

If you read the snapshot of MalaMala's update posted right above your comment, they saw the three patrolling and hunting together.

https://youtu.be/nhUu6UeIIqU Here's the link of dark mane playing with his cubs. It's quite rare to see a soft side of him. Hey like they say can't judge a book from its cover.

Its Scar Nose by the looks of his face

Edit: MALAMALA TODAY (and yesterday): August 30th-31st
Lions: the scar-nosed Manyelethi male was found alone yesterday but today he was in the company of a Kambula lioness- they moved south passed Rattray's Camp. The other 5 lionesses of the Kambula pride were viewed moving north through the Tamboti Thickets this evening.

The tense bleed hyphema of an injured lions eye makes for great pictures!

From Londolozi Game Reserve, This Week in Pictures #299 by James Souchon:
"One of the Majingilane males listens for the distant roar of his brothers after being separated. The three members of this coalition are spending much more time on Londolozi than they have over the past two years, and have been seen mating with the Mhangeni pride (their daughters). Inbreeding over only one generation is not a disaster in lion populations and is not altogether uncommon. In an open ecosystem like this it will invariably not be too long before breeding equilibrium is restored."

The Othawa pride and one Majingilane male managed to kill a young Giraffe this morning. The male however was not willing to share as of yet.

Malamala Game Reserve:

"The scar-nosed Manyelethi male and a Kambula lioness were found just north of Rattray's Camp- something caught his attention further south and he wasted no time in heading that way whilst the lioness ran off in the opposite direction. The male crossed the Sand River and, with the wind in his face, continued through the Tamboti Thickets before coming across the lone Matshipiri male and another Kambula lioness. Again, the lioness ran for the hills and so did the Matshipiri male. The steady winds made it difficult for the aggressor to track down the fleeing lions but he eventually came face-to-face with the Matshipiri male who took a few steps towards him before bolting off. This time the Manyelethi male was hot on his heels but we were unable to keep up with them. Bouts of roaring followed before the Manyelethi male turned back north. "

A male lion in his prime is running away from an old past his prime lion..Apparently the matshipri lion's confidence is very low right now..Would've been interesting if he had taken on scar-nose in a 1 vs 1 situation..

Thats is the proof that there is no rules to majingilanes fight. Is good to people who usually say that majingilanes only face opponents in number advantage read. This is the second situation where majingis engage a fight with no number advantage. Now the lonely scar nose against matshapiri male.

The majingalanes are strategic in their attacks but they are no pushovers, they are actually quiet aggressive lions when it comes down to getting down and dirty with other coalitions. The matshpiri male though, the roller coaster his life has been since May and the fact that he is now a lone male without a territory, even a 6 week old cub coming his way would make him bolt. SN probably sensed this weakness and exploited it.
