Why is Golden Mane named as such? From the pictures I have seen, his mane seems to be as dark as Dark Mane's. Or was this name given to him very early on, when his mane perhaps was golden while Dark Mane, who is older (not sure though), already had a dark one?

Yes, he had a much blonder mane as a young male than Dark mane.

But Golden mane isn't the only name he was called. Londolozi also called him 3 tooth and Scattered scars(his face was full of small scars), and I've also read he was called Pretty boy, for obvious reasons.

hip scar leg got bad after he jumped of a tall tree at londolozi in 2012. the video is at londolozi youtube chanel as climb tree lions. hip scar tried to stole one impala killed by leopards from a tree but he was too heavy to do that. when he gave up and jump down the tree his leg had some problem in the impact. so the legendary bb tailless lioness climb the tree and got the kill. but when she got the ground, hip scar stolen his kill. a funny video of hip scar and tsalala pride. the good old times of majingilanes.
A Majingilane male listens to some distant lion calls. In the last few weeks, this group of males has pushed the Avoca coalition and one Matshipiri male back west again.

Quick question guys, well two questions.If the majingis crossed path with the young tsalala males, will they recognize each other and not chased each or even if they recognize each other they will chased each other?
has anyone documented that a lion coalition ousted their own fathers? I read notch was bullied by his sons but they were on the same coalition.

They will recognize, even recognized they will be chased.
Sons taking over can happen and is documented I believe, but I don't remember exactly where.

It's up for debate if they recognize each other but they will treat them as total strangers. Something like this happened very recently when the four mahngeni females killed the original tailless lioness, the same lioness that had broken away from the tsalala pride to raise them by herself when the majingalane males took over northern sabi sands in 2010. The tsalala males and majingalanes will be at each other's throats if a territorial dispute ever arises.

they will probably treat tsalala boys as rival males. it happened before when the majingilanes meet their sons styx males. they chased them off the area. the reason of it is that sexual mature lions will try to mate with females and the dominant males have no one interest in share girls with their sons or any other male.

" scar nose majingilane is alone at malala mala again trying to mate with his daughters or nephews. this huge beast not fear anybody.
