There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I think everything I'll post here is probably already scattered over WF, or if not, surely at least the vast majority of it is, but I'd like to make a compilation of feats of strength displayed by this notorious coalition throughout their career because many seem to think they were a "coward" coalition ( as if any lion is a coward ), or lions that would only fight with an advantage in numbers, which is plain false.

Were they smart? Very. Did they picked their fights? Sure, they acted like this multiple times. But it doesn't mean they also never showed incredible strength at even numbers or while outnumbered, or that they didn't come out victorious in many of those instances..

--- First, stuff that is 100% verifiable:

- 3 Majingilanes stalemated 4 Matimbas in a chasing clash, August 2011:

Matimbas during the encounter:

Majingis:

- Octuber 2012, 3 Majingis chases 3 Sand River Males in Londolozi, attacking one of them who was left behind:

Vid:

- Feb-Mar 2013, 3 Majingis fight 4 Selatis, by Leopard Hills and Inyati:

- July 2015, 3 Majingis chases 5 Bboys:

- Jan 2017, 2 old Majingis ( DM & SN ) chases 3 prime Bboys by Elephant Plains:

- March 2017, 2 old Majingis chases 2 prime Bboys in Bboy territory:

https://www.elephantplains.co.za/big-5-b...arch-2017/

- 2017, old SN chases 2/3 young Tsalala males ( the Majingi's sons ) and the 2 young S.Avocas at the same time from a kill:

/\ You can ignore any narrative from the vid and just skip to 3:59 where you can watch the facts yourself.

- Sept 2017, Old SN chases the prime Matshipiri male in Matshipiri territory:

This is particularly impressive considering, among other things, SN died of old age some 6 months after this.

--- Now, stuff where the Majingis were likely involved but it might have been some other lions:

- June 2011, after the 3 remaining Mapogos had a fight with the Matimba males and gave a beating on their 2 subadult sons, it's reported by Inyati that the youngest Mapogo, Mr.T, left his brothers and got in a separate fight where he got many new scars:

The next month, in July, Inyati reports a new fight the 3 Mapogos had with a "neighboring" coalition:

In July Leopard Hills reports Mr.T had new scars from fighting the Majingilanes recently:

So this is it, if I remember any other instance I'll edit the post in the future to add them, though right now I think I got everything that can be reliably gathered, meaning every documented instance the Majingis clashed with even numbers or while outnumbered where they won, stalemated the opponents or the result is unknown, or if they lost ( like against Selatis ) they put a great fight and where outnumbered to begin with.
