@bertiegregory-more from the epic battle! A Sri Lankan leopard sizes up to a huge 3m/10ft mugger crocodile. In the hours leading up to this standoff, this leopard had been feeding on the buffalo calf kill pictured in this frame. This attracted the attention of a group of mugger crocodiles in a nearby pond. Keen on stealing the leopards meal, one of the crocodiles slowly walked towards the leopard and the kill. Considering the size and armour of this crocodile, I was sure the leopard would run away. I was wrong. In fact, it did the exact opposite stepping over the kill and bluff charging the crocodile.

It was awesome experience to get this shot of my lifetime jungle safaris.

The 5 brothers (cheetah) hunted and caught an antelope. While they were trying to take down the antelope, a group of 4 hyenas came, cheetahs gave up their hunt and ran away. Cheetahs are weaker than hyenas. The antelope was spared for several minutes then it was killed and ate alive by hyenas. The cheetah below the antelope was stepped on the left shoulder and injured.

Thursday a tiger had killed a leopard & consumed parts of his body in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, between Corbett & Rajaji Tiger Reserves.

Interestingly, the exact day before on Wednesday, local kids spotted another wounded tiger nearby; forest officials say this is first sighting of a tiger there. According to them it could be a 'new habitat' for tigers on the Siwalik foothills, 20km north of their regular homes along the Corbett-Rajaji corridor on Terai plains.
