Anybody know anything about the mysteriously disappeared 3 Phabeni male lions, please? When they were seen for the last time approximately? (And Fourways Blondie who has died since then most probably.) Highly unlikely that, a coalition of 3 relatively young and very impressive, powerful males could demise without any trace in their absolute prime at all... After the last old Mantimahle male's reappearing, my hopes are with the Phabenis as well, as Orange Mane has proven also that now, almost everything could be possible with the lions that mysteriously disappeared for a very long time period in the Kruger.

Idk what happened to phabeni. There was a fence broken near numbi and sanparks took ages to fix it or still haven't they said its the government's job or something to fix those fences. Either way poachers could get in easily and animals were going out so.

Yea their sightings mysteriously stopped by the beginning of 2024, and @Brahim said few months ago that only 1 is still alive.

In late 2023, all 4 where still seen, in early 2024, only Blondie with sub male.

Its possible that Kambulas/Pretoriuskop beat Blondie/3rd at Nyamundwa in late 2023, but not sure what happen to twins further south.

I've not checked it yet but there's word that apparently the 2 S90 males partners of Nsemani male who ousted Shishagaans in Satara are actually all Nsemani brothers, the 3 of them, sired by Rockfig and the elder Mbiri?

@Brahim @Tr1x24 any idea if this is true?

If i remember these 2 where seen with a natal pride around s90, from that they got a name (might be wrong, but they dont look like Nsemanis).

Ah, never mind, I've just seen that it is a very old post from a random person claiming it.

The two Muntshe male lions ( The three tooths Tyson and his brother Wired nose ) who ruled the legendary Gomondwane pride and sired many cubs with them in 2014 .

Some of those cubs grow up and becoming the famous 7 Gomondwane coalition ( Tank and his bros )   .

These pictures taken in H4-2 North of S130 .

Here is some great footage of him and his 3 brothers as nomads back in early 2015 around Mazithi Dam area:

Later in 2015/16 they ousted 2 famous Old Mazithi males (fathers of Mantimahles, Lubyelubye Mazithis, s79 Mazithis) and takeover this whole area, which they held until 2022/23, when 2 remaining members got ousted by Fourways/Torchwood coalition.

For what is known, they sired 3 Mazithi/Tshokwanes (some say 2/3, that dark maned male is older), 3 "young" Mazithis, possibly 5 Trichardt males (although only speculation) and possibly Mazithi Dam male.

Remaining male should be one on the right, he has cut on his nose.

So if he was around 4 there, now he should be around 14 yrs old.

Good info!

Old Mazithi male still alive with Mazithi pride again. Torchwood male is reported to be dead by the photographer.

Them likely the oldest brothers of the 3 old Mazithi males ,

I wonder if they become a pride males some were in Kruger park .

This photo taken in 2010 .

Photo created By Original auther .

They look so much like the 3 old Mazithi
