There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
2/3 young Jock males seen in the Mhlambane riverbed at Kruger National Park. Although it seems they have recovered, the 3rd male probably is gone. Pic credit: Louise Howa
The Hippo pools males were seen in the territory of the Berg En Dal males, unless they were caught separately it is difficult for the Hippo pool males to have caused all this but they probably already felt the opponent's weakness when they invaded and were not responded to.
I was told the original post ( not by the photographer ) speculates Leeubrons and S.Avocas competed for the Hamilton pride and eventually the Leeubrons won by killing the bigger S.Avoca.

Wow! No shit! That must have been a war! Wow, just wow if that is really what happened. Leeubrons are something special because those S. Avocas were also a notch above most other coalitions.
This is pure speculation, lets not claim and invent something for what is no evidence.
We basically have 1 sighting of S.Avocas on s36 "near" Hamiltons, with unknown female, and thats it.
From that sighting, to lone S.Avoca in MalaMala passed more then month, so who knowns where they have been and what they where doing.
Unless there is some ranger/guide from Mluwati Concession who can confirm that S.Avocas where there and competing with Leeubrons, story that Leeubrons killed 1 S.Avocas is literaly based on nothing.

they are very far from each other, Berg en Dal is very south in h3/110 while the Leeubron males are more in the central region in s36 if I'm not very mistaken, without any chance of a relationship between them.
