Thank you, i was thinking that, because when EB disappeared, Sand Rivers came, both in the same area and controled by Toulons.

Do you know if 1 of the 2 older Sand River females is 1 of the older, or are they sired by Toulons? If im not mistaken, Toulons had another litter after Eastern Bank Males litter, in which was 1 female..

 1 old Sand River female died in 2019/20 and she was 15 yrs old and 1 of the 2 mothers of EBM's, but idk if the 2nd is still alive.. Reply

Some amazing specimens will come out of that Leeupan pride with these 3 males sticking around, that dark-maned Fourways male is by far the best-looking lion I have seen recently. Reply

Agree, i think i never seen such a dark mane on a lion who just turned 5 yrs of age, amazing. Reply

I could think of few like for example Monwana boys. The more dominant Matshapiri also had very dark kind of mane. Here he at around 5 years old as well:

@Tr1x24 Honestly I’m not sure haven’t paid much attention to the lionesses for a while. But those guys on h10 by Graeme and seen yesterday by latest sightings are muntshe males. 

Images from while back of 3 muntshe by s79 by Gerhard Mostart and then again yesterday on latest sightings the right whisker matches plus an obvious scar on centre nose. Picture of two males on h10 last year by Graeme Mitchley too Reply

@Tr1x24  They come from Muntshe pride and their fathers are not known, I remember someone saying their fathers could be old Muntshe males, Leeupan males or 3 Phiva males who come from Mozambique . 3 Phiva males now dominate the Muntshe pride currently. Reply

Aren't 2 Muntshe pride males (male with scar on his nose and brother) dominant over Muntshe pride? Reply

@Tr1x24 yeah the two muntshe pride males big on wild posts a lot. But I don’t know if they are Phiva males or new males. Last I heard the 3 Phiva males ruled the pride, then I heard of Muntshe pride males so not really sure what happened there Reply

This guy seen today by Alberto @Matimba bush lodge. I feel he may be the father of the two Masorini males. I asked Alberto he said he doesn’t know but they could be. Either way they seem like they are related to me Reply

Look at this 3 Muntshe ages ago last year mid way or something with 5 females . Yesterday latest sightings with 5 females. Are they dominant then? Reply

Dont know, prob they are, in area west of Lower Sabie around s128. Reply
