There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Now situation in that area is becoming interesting, Charleston Big Boy might be under big pressure soon from all sides, this 4 guys from one side, Dreadlocks and Talamati are hanging on s65, 2 young Sand Rivers where seen on S1 close to Kruger Gate and 3 young Byamiti males are also in that area around s65/h1-1..

Big Boy needs to make a coalition with his son as soon as possible..

These three have an incredible bond. Any idea what the names refer to (except pretty boy of course)?

Facing the giant head-on.
This big male lion was the last one of 4 brothers to cross the road in front of us. They just kept coming out of the bush.
They were close to where the S3 and the Pabeni Gate road meets.

Did they oust Leeupan males from that area?

Also, this is better to post at Matimba sons thread..

I don't see any cubs in the picture so I am assuming a recent takeover. The last update from the Leeupan males was January 2020 as far as I know. I am glad this guy is around though.

A big and beautiful black-maned lion walking on the road. A moment like that and your trip in Africa is a success !

" To be so close up to these big cats is truly a humbling experience as humans we are extremely vulnerable "man to beast" and when you do make eye contact with these magnificent animals it feels like they look right through your soal. This male was marking territory and stopped every now and again to mark a bush or to smell on the road. This is one cat you do not want to be in the way of at all. "
