As per the photographer: "The Matjulu Males are a coalition of 3 young male lions and they dominate the Berg en Dal area. The Matjulu males come from the Lukimbi pride in the Lukimbi concession. The Matjulu males are quite similar to the 5 Eastern Bank males in the fact that both coalitions dominate a prime territory at such a young age."

These are the Matjulu males after they jumped the fence outside the KNP into a human-populated area and entered a farmers' area!

9 members (3 lionesses and 6 youngsters) from the Mjejane/Lukimbi Pride treated us to a fantastic sighting this week. They are thriving under the protection of the 3 powerful and formidable males from the Mjejane coalition.

There is very little information about these males, what is known is that before this sighting one of the Matjulu males had disappeared (possibly killed by the neighboring KNP ranchers) as they were relocated twice, In 2018 the last 2 Matjulu males were often seen near the Matjulu bridge but after the middle of that year their sightings were fewer and they had moved further west as 2 coalitions with greater numbers were often seen in the Matjulu bridge area (EBM and the young Jock males), In 2019 there were sightings of the 2 males but less and less frequent and until this 2020 when Ricky da Fonseca said that there is still one of the Matjulu males that is alive and you can still see them in the Matjulu area!

Could be the male that was killed by 2 younger Kambaku males in Kambaku Lodge in mid 2019 be Matjulu male? the other male run away and survived.

That territory is now fully under Young Jock males control, even S. Shishangeni male was ousted from there, aswell as what is left of EBM's.

Yes, there is a possibility that the old Matjulu male was the one who was killed by the Kambaku males, I made that reference in one of the previous posts. And this area is not controlled by the young Jock males, but by the Mjejane males if you see the new sightings of the Mjejane males are currently in that area (the Mjejane males took over the territory of the EBM). @Tr1x24

I posted it in "who they are" thread.

Exactly, As per Ricky da Fonseca the possibly last Matjulu male is still alive in the S36.
