There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Glad to hear about him again. He was seen quite often lately. Which is really good, he was our of the radar for a long time.

Interesting times as 3 different coalitions have tried claiming Shishangaan pride lately. First in control was the last Kumana, the last of 4 brothers controlling the pride for the last few years. Then he was challenged by the Maputo male who came from across the border from Mozambique and after many battles both joined up to make a coaliton. But then came the 5 Trichardt males (only 3 came) and they seemed to push Kumana and Maputo off into Mozambique.

But lately 3 of the 7 Satara males have also tried to stake their claim. The blonde Satara male was mating with a Shish lioness last week. Then was replaced by a Trichardt male. Then it all kicked off yesterday when the Satara males came into the concession looking for the Trichardt males. Trichardt males were roaring and than the 7 Satara males came in hot pursuit and hunted him down, luckily the Trichardt male was able to escape into the Lebombo Mountains. Tracks today suggest that the Trichardt males returned south and the 7 Satara males proceeded back West to their territory. Thing are heating up and a battle could be on the horizon.

Apparently the mother of Casper's cubs has been injured in some sort of fight/attack.

She possibly got that nasty limp after an unsuccessful hunt. At least, there not any kind of injury visible which could probably indicate she's been involved in a fight. In my personal opinion.

Nothing, but that one Satara male has been seen like only 4 times in the last year so it's rare to see him. Also I don't know how injured he was could have been minor. I got a friend who drives h6 every day for work and hasn't seen him though
