There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The two oldest Hippo Pools males are older than Mo right? Seeing as though he was born late 2016. That photo from 2019 of the Hippo Pools male makes me think they were born around mid 2016 at the latest. Although, Shishangeni sons really do mature very quickly it seems. Look at how Mo looks at only 5 years old.

Shishangenis tookover Hippo Pools after Vurhamis.

Also Vurhamis become nomads soner then Hippo Pools, when Vurhamis invaded Mjejanes, Hippo Pools where still with natal pride.

Hippo Pools should be born around late 2016 - early 2017, while Vurhamis around mid 2016, theres roughly  half year difference, but both coalitions had different litters.

For example Mbilu was younger then Mo, and Light Maned HP is younger then Smudge Nose and S28 HP, so yea.

You are right my friend.  Mbilu was born in early 2017 whereas Mo was born in the last 2 Months of 2016. All of this is from Danielle Sheedy who saw them as cubs in 2017.  But she doesn't know exactly which Month he was born in.

Nice.

Hippo Pools are even younger, prob mid 2017. Theres pictures of 2 South Shishangenis males still with Hippo Pools females in early 2017,there was also Hippo Pools breakaway at that time.

Also Hippo Pools pride had cubs in 2016, prob sired by S. Shishangenis males, but they prob got killed by Shishangenis in takeover in 2017.
