The 5 Kumana Boys is accompanied by their father the Mluwati Male making them a 6 man coalition, like the Notch Coalition in the Mara Notch being the father and his 5 sons.

Description of the Video:

A first set of videos, of the greatest coalition around the Satara area, the kumana males. Located south of Satara, near the Kumana dam, these males are a very rare find, and to find them all together, so so special!

These five young males, sons of the great old Mluwati male, are one of the strongest forces around, and could pose a threat in the future to the likes of the Mayambulas, and even the Shishangaan males, with Casper, if not careful.

A bit pedantic, perhaps, but the Salitjie Road isn't the S128 but the S30. They do have an intersection with each other, though, and from there Salitjie runs generally east/west along the north bank of the Sabie till the H12 while the S128 runs north/south. Two of my favourite roads in the South; despite being in close proximity to Lower Sabie, they are very much less travelled for some reason.

Thank you for that, and it is good to know, as that is around the same time I became interested in them as well (2019). Not to be rude, as I really do appreciate your reply, but my question was directed at @Wyld@Heart, as he lives there, often traveling the very roads we are discussing.

Since the mid 2000's so 20 years in 2025. My first ever lion sighting was a kudu hunt at Shitlhave Dam just outside Pretoriuskop with my then gf (now wife). They missed the kudu but caught me, you could say. Since then I have had many sightings; some thrilling, some sad and others what some people would call mundane but for me it never gets old. Still the same thrill as the first time.

Still utterly useless at identifying individual lions reliably, though. Lol.

@Tr1x24  Did he die of old age or injury? He was the Matimba Torchwood, right? The one that had some belly hair for a little while, then it fell out? And the Fourways were Mathshapiri sons?

I can never keep it straight. The Majingi Fourways also partnered with a lone Torchwood male, right?  Who was his father?  Or was it that one of those Fourways wasn't actually a Majingi son, but a nomad that joined the Fourways Pride?

Ah, yes, for many of us, or so it seems, these cats really can get in your blood, and you cannot stop following along with them. Totally understood. Thank you, my friend!
