Same male lion but in diffrent times .

The first/Top Picture  back to 2005 at leeupan Dam in Kruger National Park  By :- Gert de Koker  .

The bottom one back to october/september 2009 around Mlondozi/H10 Kruger NP By :- Anita Baert .

This male lion part of the five old leeupan/Mantimahle coalition who Fatherd the Famous Majingilane coalition and more . .

Known as Snip tail  .

Look how he changed ??

The bottom pic appears to have fallen on difficult times, his mane is short, broken tooth, which must be very painful, and looking thin. Perhaps this is towards the end of his life, and he is nomadic?

No they are still dominant males but they have Tb problems when then they recoverd later so i don't know .

He might passedaway late 2009 .

Ah, yes, perhaps it is indeed TB, the lion scourge. That would certainly explain the difference in appearance. Something is affecting him, for sure. Thank you, for that, my friend!

I would like to think one of the Talamatie male lions sons of Selaties. I would not know or a Magingilane grand son.

That young black-maned male has a familiar face, striking me as a lion I should know, or rather who's related to lions familiar to me, but considering how it can be a random unknown male, I've no idea who it might be, the location also doesn't ring a bell, I can't even tell if it's in the south, north or whatever.

Interesting, however, that he has such a dark mane despite the short bald mane at the top.

What i think I see is Magingilane. No four ways male lions relatives, or sand River male lions?

I have believes that boy is our Junior Othawa son of Dark mane i was also this 2nd time this guy seen recently but in this sight he looking great .

Also this junior mane show that he will have small mane as his old brother Tsalala or Mhangeni 2013 .

PCM did cross my mind indeed, but idk, I think if it was him it'd be easier to tell, like it wouldn't be a question.

I don't think it's Othawa Jr and I'd imagine him to have a big mane if still around, like most Othawa males who develops their mane very early on, but if it is Jr by some miracle it'd be the best thing ever so I hope Ahmed is right.

Pretty sure thats PCM Avoca.

He is scent marking, he is in this area, on outskirts of KT/s36 males territory (around Skukuza, towards Kruger Gate and south towards DeLaporte waterhole) for many months now.

Too bad, for ID purposes, those scars didn't stick around, would be much easier to ID if they did.

@Ahmed Ali If that is Junior Othawa, they would be a lot of minds blown around here, for sure!
