It is worth mentioning that in this area is Guru Ghasidas National Park, which is contiguous with Sanjay-Dubri Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh, and yes, this is a potential tiger territory (https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/o...147726.ece, https://web.archive.org/web/201201202324...t_2010.pdf), though no tiger was sighted between October 2008 and May 2009. Pendjari National Park
CHEETAH | Cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus) are the emblematic species of the Pendjari. They are the third largest cats of the park, after lions and leopards, and are one of the most prized sighting by visitors. Although cheetahs don’t belong to the ‘Big Five’, their rarity and beauty make every sighting an unforgettable experience. Cheetahs are monitored using camera traps. Given their rarity, the park authorities register all cheetah sightings in order to determine their range in the park. In 2017, the density of cheetahs in the Pendjari was estimated using camera-traps. The resulting density was 0.66/100 km², which corresponds to 17 adult cheetahs. There are 5 sub-species of cheetahs. Since there has been some discussion about speeds of big cats, here one interesting article about cheetah and acceleration.

One video, where cheetah can be seen running fast and some clips without slow motion, which is like a curse when talking about cheetah videos nowadays. I can understand slow motion as a part of some video, but there should be also footage showing things how they really happen..
Part from 3:04 forward, there is speed. And when looking at it, what happens then in approximately in 3:20-3:21... is it just me or does that look like unreal for some others too? I mean that sudden change in rhythm and suddenly leaping that fast in the middle of high speed run. Even when looking it at playback speed 0,25 that looks almost unbelievable. Chase after it is also nice and then again that one from 4:18 forward, simple beauty and speed, no slow motion. But even if not interested about cheetah, watch at least that chase starting from 3:04 and pay attention what happens between 3:19-3:22, that is one of those rare moments, when I have really been almost mouth open when watching some video, I did curse a bit in disbelief :) It had been some time since I last time watched cheetah in chase without slow motion. Now I remember why it was at one time my favorite big cat, and maybe still is...
