These bears are in the Zoo Hagenbeck ,which is now the offical zoo of Hamburg . Not to be confused with the Zoologischer Garten hamburg that has , now been converted into a botanical garden.

I forgot to say thank you for translating. If you find some information about Kamchatka bears of Hagenbeck zoo, that would be interesting. When I asked from zoo, they linked their website, which has just overall information :)

That is handsome bear. They also hibernate shorter time in south, so it doesn´t need so much fat for winter. I actually started to wonder if these bears hibernate at all, I have never read about those bears.

@Shadow

I would guess they probably wouldn't need to hibernate ,since winters are not as harsh in that general region.

Heh, I just found a study telling, that they do. I wouldn´t have been surprised if not and maybe not all do. So warm there over the year.

Luckily most grizzlies in North-America are in Canada and what comes to Alaska, I think that they are quite used to bears. So problems, if those happen will concern "only" lower 48. Of course sad, but maybe people at least in northern states are also appreciating grizzlies so, that not destroying populations.
