There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

THE HACKER - FINAL REPORT AND THREAD CLOSURE

A - THE FORUM

01 - This forum is about predators in general and big cats in particular. The goal is to collect good info and to discuss issues neglected by biologists. We want good posters able to deliver. Those interested in other things are adviced to go elsewhere.
02 - In the last weeks, forum rule -5- was violated more than once. Forum rule -6- wasn't applied correctly. The result was a lot of crap.

B - THE HACKING

03 - After the hacking attempt, we decided for some research. Members were interviewed and all posts were read.
04 - We concluded Ptigris is the only suspect.

C - PROCEEDINGS

05 - Ptigris was invited to answer a number of questions.
06 - Ptigris avoided the questions and offered a story impossible to check.
07 - When addressed, he lectured one co-owner and threatened the other.

D - THE DEFENCE OF PTIGRIS

08 - When confronted with the questions, Ptigris said he was able to answer because he had cooperated with him. However, he asked for a public thread first. This because a public thread offered protection, Ptigris said. Protection from the hacker, that is. He also told us not to underestimate the hacker. Any attempt to expose him would result in a dead forum, he said. Finally, he adviced us not to conduct research, as it was bound to result in failure.

E - RESPONSE

09 - The committee installed to solve the problem concluded the story of Ptigris suited the hacker in all respects. It also concluded Ptigris talked and acted on behalf of the hacker. His final advice was meant to discourage research into the matter.

10 - Ptigris and the hacker are one and the same. This conclusion was tested in that Ptigris was enabled to see, enter and close the trap himself. The trap that was set for him, that is.

F - THE TRAP

11 - Ptigris got his public thread: this one. In spite of his promise, he didn't talk about the hacker. He talked about himself. Typical for a hacker.

12 - Ptigris didn't post on animals. In 4 months, he got to 14 shortish posts, for which he needed no less than 7 hours. He didn't join the forum to contribute, but for something else. The time he needed suggests he needed to log in to do what he wanted to do. Again typical for hacker.

13 - Ptigris only showed himself when the forum was attacked. He showed himself when he featured, that is. It wasn't about the forum. It was about him (see -11-).

14 - Ptigris said the story about the hacker is a long one. Impossible to understand without the proper credentials, he told Sanjay, who was dismissed as incompetent. A bold move for someone under suspicion, but Ptigris wasn't bothered. A member would be, but a hacker wouldn't.

15 - Ptigris said the hacker had something on him. In spite of that, he was willing to disclose personal information about the hacker in a public thread (...). But what about the alleged reprisals of the hacker? If the story of Ptigris is true, the place to go to is the law. This he didn't do. The reason is Ptigris and the hacker are one and the same.

16 - Ptigris said the hacker started hacking because he wanted to hit lion posters. However, the facts say only tiger threads were targeted. The conclusion has to be that the hacking isn't about lion posters. It is about something different. The question is what. As both owners of this forum were targeted and dismissed, it is likely envy was the real drive. Ptigris wanted to start a forum, but Sanjay beat him to it.

17 - The computer where the attack (on this forum) originated was very close to the one of Ptigris. Both used the same system as well, again underlining that Ptigris and the hacker are one and the same.

G  - CONCLUSIONS

18 - The forum rules are clear and effective. The problem is they were not applied when it was needed.
19 - Ptigris is the hacker. He violated rule -5-.
20 - Jinen isn't involved in the hacking, but he too violated rule -5- and more than once at that.

H - DECISIONS

21 - Forum rules have to be respected. One violation is a warning and two is out.
22 - Ptigris violated rule -5-. Same for Jinen. Both are out, never to return.
23 - This thread will be closed. This forum is about animals and not something else.
