They way both climbed a steep rock unbelievable, what a sight. Unfortunately not blessed with taking good photos because of VVVIP was blocking our vehicle and that too off road driving. One afternoon, as soon as we entered the park, we were gifted with the sighting of T19! I am just curious: The age of her cubs is supposedly 6 months now?... See More  *This image is copyright of its original author Few experinces in life leave u speechless, this shot is one among them,a very quite early morning drive in zone 3 of ranthambore quickly turned out to be a action packed one when we could hear the tigress call for her cubs ,just when we decided to drive to the spot in a hurry we see a indian rock python in middle of the road who was just in no mood to cross ,the wait was making us a little impatient but we are in the forest its there home we have to respect every creature and not to forget python is no less precious,after the python crossed we headed to the spot and we could see the tigress come out of the tall grass followed by one curious cub,they sat down for a minute then follows the second cub even more careful than the first one..the last cub the most shy of all of them was reluctant to step out but it finally did...but then few people in the vehicles got so excited n started screaming the cubs got really uncomfortable ...sensing the danger the mother got up and the cubs only obliged by walking behind her!!! so thanks to the python our jeep was the last to reach and we were in a spot where i could get all these four beauties in one frame Krishna T-19 with cubs Canon 5D mark III Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II 3 october 2014  *This image is copyright of its original author

Pckts, I think that courting pair is actually just two sub adult brothers on a kill. look at the head sizes of the two, they are about the same size and logically two dominant males would never share a meal unless they were brothers and i think that's the case in here.

After reviewing the video again, the Tiger in the back has a smaller head than the one in front which leads me to agree with the photographer that it is a courting pair. But no way to know for sure.

OMM road - kabini 18th october 2014. We sighted this incredible huge tigress early morning by 7am. We were all photographing a tusker on the side. Suddenly our naturalist shouts tiger. We found this girl crossing the road just in front of us. And it also tried to hunt a group of indian gaur. The image sequence yet to follow. The tiger did not so much even bother to turn his head to look as our vehicle came to stop. He soon lied down to rest as we waited in hope of some action.
