I think he meant recently, that was ages ago..
And S. Avocas didn't expand anything this year, they are with Plains Camps since mid 2019..
They have done more since 2018 than most coalitions in this area. And you don’t know all their movements or interactions in Kruger.
Like I said, at the moment all five are moving and expanding their territory in some way. I didn’t say prides although that will come with moving and expanding naturally… none of them are just sitting in one reserve getting old and grey. And for that I respect them. You can go respect another coalition for another reason of your choosing…..

Thats what almost every coalition do after sireing 1 generation of cubs with their pride, which is usually 2-3 years, also depends on how many females is left to mate with in that pride they control.. Bboys did this before them, Majingilanes before them.. Its the way it works..
There are rare coalition who sits with the same pride/s to sire 2nd generation of cubs there, usually those coalition are at older age and they prob dont have power or drive anymore for expansion (late Majingilanes with Mhanghenis and Othawas, now Bboys with Kambulas, Ross males with Birminghams for example)..
Coalition in their prime will definitely try to expand after sireing 1 generation with their first prides, so i dont think Avocas are any special in that regard..

Does anybody know what is procedure in Camps/Lodges when this kinda situation happens, when predators show up, i assume guest and people need to go inside or something..

As far as I know, that's what happens. Guests will go inside while the animal is monitored by management/rangers so that the guests are treated to such a sighting from a safe distance while the animal does its thing undisturbed
...and he's alone. Announcing his location, and all by himself. Situations like this, from one side or the other, I believe is going to lead to an end to this war, and we will know the winner. The B-Boys being together the day before the cubs were killed was at least a sign that they might be sticking closer together

A lioness from the Kambula pride shows submission towards a Northern Avoca male.
An interesting sighting in which she attempted to entice copulation. She flirted with him, potentially in a state of false-oestrus in order to draw him away from the area of the rest of the pride and the recent litters of cubs.
This male is believed to have already been responsible for the infanticide of two cubs. The Northern Avoca coalition are pushing for dominance over the Kambula Pride and thus will kill the cubs of the resident Gowrie males in order to increase their own chances of siring offspring.
In this instance, the Northern Avoca male rejected her amorous advances with an aggressive physical attack. The surreal visual was accompanied by symphony of deep, guttural growls, which escalated into a thunderous roar with saliva and the condensation of his breath in the brisk winter darkness encapsulated in a backlit dust-cloud kicked up under tooth, claw.
