There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Southern Avoca Males being led by the roaring lioness of the Plains Camp lion pride in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.

This just shows that the Southern Avocas have in fact been successful with cubs. They clearly have a pride in Kruger and those are sub-adults in the video. They've done well in a difficult area. We can't compare them to coalitions of 4 and 5, plus they are right next to a coalition of 4 and have held their own.

That's a very Makulu-esque roar.

Stunning shot of the magnificent King of Talamati pride. Dark Mane Avoca, one of the biggest lions in Sabi Sands at the moment, he has an old injured in his front paw but it didn't stop him from being a strong dominant male! Once he was a part with his two brothers coalition, he tried to return to them, but they confronted him with refusal, to remain again the Solo King relying on himself.

Sabi Sands, South Africa.

I actually think there is slight chance that he might form a coalition with his sons, especially if new males came in into his territory and challenge him soon, he might leave with his sons who also wouldn't be tolerated..

DM has that very calm character, i never seen him showing any agression towards other lions lol, so he will prob tolerate young males alongside him.

Blondie and Mohawk in MalaMala
Time 1:54
the Blondie leg looks worse, I hope he takes a break from these adventures until he gets better, he's very vulnerable in this situation

I do miss seeing Blondie and Mohawk more… esp Blondie. I wish ever video wasn’t in the context of this turf war that’s going on but since only Mala Mala makes videos, that’s all we’ll see for a while I guess.
