Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I have another question if hypothetically I were to make a expedition to find still living caspian tigers, which locations would be my best bet ?

Probably the Ili Balkash region, the place where they are planning the reintroduction. Suitable habitat would be the best bet since sightings are basically nil

Was also thinking of installing some camera traps in the hakkari mountains and in some areas of Iraqi Kurdistan.

I was thinking of making a thread on keystone species/landscape engineers but I'm not sure which category of the forum this would fit in if any. Where would be this thread be best suited? Thanks

@Sully

This section seems suitable for such a thread.

@Lycaon I suspected so but I'm not sure if its suitable since it doesn't really fall within the parameters of humanly induced effort (unless you subscribe to the Anthropocene theory where everything is impacted by humans lol)

Thanks I have been keeping up with the Persian leopard conservation in kurdistan for some time now. admittedly in hopes of them capturing a still living caspian tiger.
