There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

River Dolphins are doing very good in Venezuela, people like and respect them very much very contrary to what happens in the Amazon of Brazil and Colombia where they kill them and use their meat as bait to capture big catfishes. When you are navigating in rivers in Venezuela they like to follow you and stay close to the boat. One day I was with a group in a boat in a dangerous river named Cano Guaritico in Estado Apure, it has Piranhas and Orinoco Crocodiles when sudenly a group of about 6 River Dolphins started to move very close to the boat and one of the Guides threw himself into the river and started swimming with the River Dolphins and we were thinking that this guy is very crazy but after he went back up to the boat he told me that he knows he can do it with out problems when he is with them because they protect people from Crocodile attacks and he feels very secure with River Dolphins.

Amazon River Dolphins are doing very good in rivers of the Venezuelan Llanos because people believe they are good animals and they don't harm them like people do in others parts in the Colombian and Brazil Amazon, River Dolphins follow the boats they see because they cause that many fishes that are part of their duet move in all directions and they catch them.
