There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Lucien Beaumont: " One of my favorite images of a favorite leopard. The Marthly male, once a dominant male @Londolozi, easily recognizable by his torn ear and ridge like mane on the back of his neck. "

Is there any difference in terms of size and weight between kenyan-tanzanian savannah leopards and zimbabwean-kruger savannah leopards?

Marlon du Toit: " Sometimes in life we find ourselves in situations where the way up is easy. You’ve got traction, the path is clear & every step is defined & planned.

Then, there are times where you gotta come down. These times, as we all very well know, are not so easy to navigate. What seemed like an easy path going up is now gone. You simply can’t see it. Every footing, every grip, it all seems shaky. It’s a long way down & you can’t help but stare at the ground below.
Instead, try this. Take every step for what it is. Think about it. Quiet your mind. And then, move. Repeat. Don’t think so much about that which is simply out of your control. You’ll swiftly lose sight of that which is. Think about the next step. Move forward. Repeat.
This young leopard found himself going up with youthful ambition. Coming down however, was a much harder task."
