About #728: Very happy to read that from you (because you're Indian). In Europa in the people's mind the tiger is the symbol of India, most people here don't know that there are some asiatic lions. And I seriously believe that inside India traditions and customs tigers were the only one most venerated animal of the country. I know that lion is a very emblematic animal too, at any rate in Europa, but I don't know if the appellation "King of the animals" is an universal one, or just specific to the occidental culture.

And you're right, after the continental plates, India became a privileged place as concerns the fauna.
