We have a NEW jaguar in the area and he is very very aggressive towards the boats! We must give him his space or someone is going to get hurt. He has already charged two boats since first spotted on August 2nd. This is the first record of this type of jaguar aggression towards boats. •

Great news! This is Jas T and he is back! We haven’t seen him since 2015 and now we saw him on the 20 of July!

We just got word from one of our dearest tour guides @larissa_pantanal that our mascot and favorite jaguars Patricia, is with cubs! She’s one of the most successful jaguar mothers in the region. Since 2012 she’s had 3 litters so far all making it into adulthood. •

The mother usually prevent the presence of males after the birth of cubs, due to the risk of infanticide. Therefore, the life of cubs is in danger from their own father and other males in the jaguar population. Hence, jaguar cubs exhibit low survival rates.
