There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Impressive Wild Jaguars - Pictures and Videos

@Sully that was a very intense fight between Felino and Brutus. Felino didn't like that Brutus was mating with his mother apparently.

I'm bringing this footage of Edno from last year during the dry season:

I can't help but be breath taken by his size. In this instance, we appreciate it better as he's scaled next to two large trees. In the beginning, when he stretches we can see how large of a frame he has, including a long and tall body while retaining a stocky build. He's one of the largest jaguars Brazil has seen.

In this capture from his altercation with Daryl and Constantina last year, we can see him from a frontal view better:

The siblings are approaching 3 years of age and are considered adults by Pantanal standards, him dwarfing them the way he did only reaffirmed his gargantuan size.

According to Andy Reyes from Jaguars Into the Wild, when she saw Daryl and Constantina last year she thought Daryl was "enormous", quoting her words. She works with Mexican jaguars so the size difference was likely noticeable for her, even if she only saw two young adults.

As we know from males like Santi that jaguars that age can approach 100 kg in weight, I wouldn't be surprised if Daryl weights in between 85-100 kg so far as a young adult, Edno was nearly twice his size in that video.
