There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

@OncaAtrox  Welcome to Wildfacts

@Pckts  Yeah those jags monitored by Proyecto Red Yaguareté in North Argentina are Atlantic Forest Jags just like the ones monitored by the brazilian project ''Projeto Onças do Iguaçú'' in South Brasil. Some of them go back and fourth through both countries into the same biome.

Those Atlantic Forest jags are impressive and robust indeed but at least the Atlantic Forest jags from here in Brazil they aren't as large as the Pantanal and Cerrado jaguars with most of big adult males of that population weghing 71/75 kilos. Most of the adult Atlantic forest jags I posted on the modern weight and measurents thread don't rival the adult Pantanal and Cerrado jags. The largest Atlantic Forest male jag that I know of ( captured and weighed ) is a 108kg male in my post #104 of that thread. That's impressive indeed but its not that often they get this big at least the ones that have been weighed.
