There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

But their pugmarks are not.

As you can see, a 5'' Pug mark is generally a good sized male in the Pantanal
The ones below aren't quite 5'' and most are also in soft mud so make sure to adjust accordingly.

I'm not comparing them to Pantanal jaguars, that being said we don't have any information regarding the age or sex of the pugmarks posted by redyaguarete, those could eaisly be females or juveniles specimens. They don't capture these jaguars so there isn't any acutal data on their sizes that is consize, based on their morphology they are extremly robust so I don't see them not challenging Pantanal specimens in size.

The largest one was a Male, I know that for sure.
But Jaguars are all very robust but camera trap photos are misleading.
You need real life video to get a better perspective and the Jaguars found in Argentina and Bolivia aren't as large as the Pantanal Jaguars.
Feel free to ask Nick from Bolivian adventures about how his Jaguars stack up.
They also estimate their largest males to be 100kg but yes, they haven't weighed them.

You can see here that these few aren't as large in comparison as well
