There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
He was being very submissive at least which might help save him, however, if there is more than one male, things could turn out differently. Seems that the Bila Shaka's are rarely all together patrolling and attempting to kill subs, so that could buy the young ones more time.
Lola's daughter was seen about 800 meters from the pride! I don't follow the lion dynamics of the Maasai Mara in general, but I do try to keep tabs on what's going on with the Marsh Pride occasionally.
She was seen injured and limping a bit, but was moving slowly towards pride members. She could have been attacked and mauled by the Bila Shakas, her own grandfathers. She was dubbed, 'Super Cub,' by Peter Rettig. That cub has lots of will to live and zest for life. Hope can can somehow hang on because she's still not even a year and a half! Tough times ahead as a result, unfortunately.
She disappeared on the 4th, so to be seen now means that she was too weak and lost to find any pride members for about 10 days! Must have been quite injured and now recovering slowly but surely...
