There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

There’s some other videos of lions trying to join a coalition and they get beat up but if they stick with the group then they mostly get accepted. It’s like “if your gonna hang with us you gotta be tuff”
Just a theory
The males in situations like that, that I have seen, were always nomadic coalitions. I, personally, have not seen dominant/territorial coalitions accept new members.
Remember the Kruger male (Freddy) accepting Tsalala male (solo). They did have previous confrontations before and after Tsalala male Lost his coalition partner (Cleo eyerfield) he came back to southern Sabi Sand once again and this time teamed up with Freddy, until Charleston males finished their reign.
But was Freddy dominant over a pride, or territorial when he and Solo paired up? Solo was a very interesting cat, I was reminded not too long back of how Wonky's story mirrors his in some ways.
