I’ve asked Tristan about the two sons we never saw again. Also trying to get an accurate number of females.
He mentions two sons at this Sighting.
He said there were 6 or 7 lionesses at this sighting, and 11 members of the pride in total, not including Red Road. So that would add up to 2 original lionesses (Birmingham girls), 2 Thanda Impi daughters, 5 Red Road daughters and two sons.
But yes it would be good to get his official confirmation of the pride dynamics.
My last tracking was:
- Original 3 are alive
- they lost a Thanda Impi to snare bringing down to one
- 5 Red Road Daughters’
- 2 Red Road Sons
That makes 11 members.
My bad, I thought it was 3 Thanda Impi daughters down to 2 after one got snared. Didn't realise all three original lionesses are still alive. Crazy considering how old they are. And there's only one TI daughter left.
Yeah, it’s a shame we’re down to just 1. Mbiris have 4 still I think from my last count.
The Nharus really need Red Road's daughters to stay and not form a breakaway pride, otherwise the future of the pride will be in jeopardy.
