Fair enough.

Two S1 males were seen chasing the Southern Pride lioness today. It's likely she was leading these males away from her daughters.

How long does she need to keep doing that?  If they stick on her like Nhena stayed with the Xinghungwe lioness, those cubs of hers will never eat again.

Cubs are not cubs anymore, they are 2 year old subs, they can hunt on their own already some smaller pray like impalas, altrough, another half a year with their mother would be ideal.

But they definitely wont starve out if mom is not around for week or so, Sparta young female survived ~ 3 months on her own, and she was half year younger then these 2 girls.

Their mother was already seen mating and hanging with those S1 males, and she always returned back to them, she will prob continue doing that for now.

Great sighting. I did a headcount of that sighting and I think it was 14 of those- 11 cubs and 3 lionesses.

The Styx Pride brought down a large warthog for breakfast this morning, which was rudely interrupted by a herd of elephants that sent the pride running in all directions. The pride eventually reconnected at a small pan, getting a drink of water before heading back to the remains of the warthog to fight over the scraps.

Lots of fighting over this small kill. Hopefully they will find themselves a bigger prey soon, though
