There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I wouldn't say as the Majingilane, as the Majingilanes always moved together whilst were patrolling their boundaries territory
Actually Majingilaes were joining together mostly just in cases they were about to confront other coalitions. They always controlled at least 2, up to 4 prides at once and so they were spread all over, rarely seen all together. Mala Mala even in its old reports from somewhen around 2011-2012 was speculating about possibitly of Majingilanes getting cought out alon by another coalition if they remain so spread. When it however came to confrontations with other coalitions then Majingilanes worked together perfectly. Salatis on the other hand had some clear issues with team work which were exposed in their competition with Majingilanes 2012-2014.
What lovely pictures of the boys. They are looking better and better! They have really helped to rejuvinate the two prides they control.
Those names for the 4 males are made up by one person on the FB fan page right? Most of us just refer to them by their numbers like N'Waswishaka 1, 2 etc or like "wide nose" or "belly Scar".
It does help to have real names for the individual males but it should be up to Sabi Sabi rangers to give them official names. "Gore" seems like a fitting name for the injured one though!

Yeah I believe so, the admin of the facebook page picked the names. I don't think the reserve will give them individual names, they usually just name the coalition (with some exceptions).
Interestingly the names Amahle, Ubosu and Eorenji are Xhosa , which isn't spoken in this part of South Africa lol
The problem is the Dominanat male might not be as dominant, now or in futre, doesn't really matter. As of recently Orange eyes seems to be the one to be avoided near females at least. Anyway it might be changing often one way or another. I can't think of any distinctive physical feature of him, he does have quite distinctive roar though, sounding bit like buffalo calf vocalizing.
The Styx Pride was seen early this morning as the sun was just rising. They were finishing off the remains of a wildebeest kill, with the four N’waswishaka males.
