Two N’waswishaka males and one of the Styx lionesses were seen today moving around an open area trying to pick the scent of other lions that had passed the area. Hopefully, the Othawa subadults aren't anywhere near them.

I dont like to see Othawa subadults hanging near Nwaswitshaka, this could get ugly very quickly.. Western sector is far more secure, even with PC and Styx/NK boys hanging around, they dont have the numbers and power of 4 Nwaswitshakas and are still not territorial males, who dont tolerate intruders..

That, plus they had an encounter with Mhangenis (when Othawa male was still around, but not present) - some atribute loss of few Mhangeni cubs to them, although it is not proven they had directly attacked them.

Yea, but that was before they become territorial, encounter with Bboys was prob boundary establishing between 2 coalitions, after that Nwaswitshaka become territorial and started mating with SP and Styx pride..

After they become territorial, atleast 2 Nwaswitshaka (Orange Eyes and Wide Nose, maybe others aswell ) where in a fight with 2 DeLaportes (Dreadlocks and Talamati) in Lion Sands, and succesfully chase them into Kruger last year, after that 2 of them (Gore and Wide Nose) was also seen in Kruger chasing 2 Sand River young males who managed to run away.

I question this fight with the Delaportes Males. No one saw it, so we don’t know who they fought or if both DeLaportes were even there, and the original report that came out was wildly inaccurate. Someone said a N’W male died and another lost his eyes, when in fact OE just had a bruise on his eye and no other scratches or marks on  anyone. And even recently, in 2021, they were chased by the Southern Avocas which is surprising. I’m not convinced they fought off any adult males yet but they definitely chased the young Sand River males.

They fought 2 "unknown" males as they said in Lion Sands, people where there, but fight happened in thick bush.. After that Orange Eyes was seen with injured eye, 2nd male Wide Nose was not seen next day after the fight , only 3 Nwaswitshakas, so they pressumed he was killed, but he showed up.

Fight was not seen directly , but people where there and 2 on 2 fight happened in the bush, it was heard by peoples..

Chased by S. Avocas in 2021?? Give me report or some info of that..

Is there an official report of this fight? I’d love to read it because I thought they assumed a fight happened the next day and based on the lack of scars/ scratches it could have even been the four N’W males fighting over mating rights, or even a very minor skirmish (like the recent Londolozi “fight”). I mean... did anyone even ID these males?

EDIT: The chase was reported in the Dec 2020 Mala Mala report, for some reason I thought it was Jan but close enough.

Sure, fighting over mating rights and they made up story about 2 "unknown" males just because you say it, while people who actually work there confirmed the fight/chase with 2 "unknown" males.

Where is your source? Lol you always demand people give links and sources yet you never share anything. Plus no one saw the fight but they have a perfect ID on these males?  Like I said share the source and I’ll read it.

Source?? It was all over internet, on multiple peoples instagram stories who actually work in Lion Sands..what are you talking about, like if I made up that story...

They dont have "perfect ID", first they said "unknown" males from Kruger (idk if they seen them) based of recent sightings from that area, those where most likely 2 DeLaportes, as they where seen regulary about that time in KNP Lion Sands..

I'm not questioning if an altercation took place at all. I wanted to verify the details you shared because a lot of it was not what I heard at that time. But if there's nothing currently to refer to, then let's drop it.
