There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Today we've received such sad news from the Kruger National Park which it's involved the Styx male (Majingilane son). He was found dead near Mpondo male. He passed away at the age of 9 years still on their prime. He had a tough live until his last breat. He has addapted and survived with a broken jaw for at least 3 years. We should remember him as a true survivor his legacy still is alive through the KNP and will be extremely awesome follow their bloodline in the next years ...

That Dark Mane spent most of his time with Othawa pride after cubs were born means very little regarding possibility of him being the father of Junior. Before Jonior was born all Majingilanes (not sure if Hip Scar mated with her as well, might be not) and can be the fathers. So far judging by face structure I would bet on DM to be the father, but I am not really sure.
From what I remember, Junior Othawa and his two brothers were born around March or April 2018, right at the end of the Majingilanes' reign. During the months before that, Dark Mane was the male that spent the most time with them. As for the Othawa Male, currently the dominant male of the Mhangeni pride, he could have been sired by any of the four.

Dramatic skies and a mating pair of lions.
The most handsome of the Majingilane sons by far!
The regal and bulk Othawa male at his best with one of the Ntsevu lioness at Londolozi Game Reserve

The ones I am sure of are
- 6 Kambula females
- 1 (or 2?) Mhangeni females
- 1 Othawa female (Sassy)
- 1 Tsalala female
Do they have any daughters remaining in the Styx, Fourways, Sparta, Southern, Torchwood, Nkhuma, Talamati, or Sand River prides? I am not sure if they were even dominant over all these prides but these prides all had territories in and around Sabi Sands during their reigns.
