There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Notch Coalition Male Lineage

From Marsh pride lion -Notch the Lion-King of the Mara and His Five Sons:
Notch 2 currently making more babies,so are his brothers Ron and Caesar .

The wilder beast migration is back which brings a lot of lionesses into oestrus .The Notch brothers have up to 20 females in the area they currently live in around 4 prides possibly another .They tend to never stay with the females but wonder back and forth to the different female groups.

During September 2013 they started moving further south from their long time pride Rongai into a new area called look out all the way south to the Tanzania border at an area called Sand river .They spent most of 2014 down there and mated numerous females nobody has kept up with the sons they fathered there but they will be around 2.8-2.9 years .

Well as many tourists and guides just follow the brothers this has kept interest away from their offspring. And fact the brothers moving back and forth from different females and and spending enough time in one place means their offspring haven't been focused on as everybody just wants to see the big black maned males.

So they have a lot of offspring ,many mostly nomads by now. They have sons as old as 7.8 years old born end Of 2008 from their first pride Mugoro . Pic credits Dafle
