There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

"It was 3 Birmingham males that he fought with. Tinyo, Nsuku and Mfumo. Two males came past the lodge roaring like crazy the other night and then next morning we found tracks for males chasing each other everywhere.
We found Nsuku on the same morning with a bit of blood on his face and a few scratches but nothing too serious.
Then we were with the male himself that afternoon (still unknown who he was) when two of the Birmingham males started roaring. So we went to find them and saw Tinyo and Mfumo. Tinyo has a few scratches and bite marks and I never got a very good look at Mfumo. But they aren't badly injured at all.
Unfortunately the unknown male was found dead this morning in the same place. His wounds were just too much and I think he died of blood loss."

Styx male? It doesn't look like them right?

"No, we thought it may be him as the lower jaw was swollen like the Styx male but turns out he was bitten through the jaw by the Birminghams. Still unknown as to who the male was."
Well at least this time the three of them were together but it's the same thing as always, Tynio and Mfumo always together, they then join Nsuku and Nhenha just roams around alone, it's not correct to say lions have personalities but they do have different temperaments, lions act entirely different from one another.
nehna is always with nsuku and every so often one of them hangs out with tinyo and mfumo. Recently the birminghams do seem to be spending more time as a trio or all 4 though.
I think this is the first male lion the birminghams have killed. The matimbas pretty much gifted them this territory, they just left. Its kinda crazy how little conflict the birminghams have seen over their life spans.
