I look at the whisker pattern mostly. The pattern is different on both sides of the face, and is unique to each lion.

I think the description matches with the second male. Since the blue and green dots placed on the whiskers pattern, your eyes will see them only. Observe the two rows of pattern closely, it's not showing that much difference.. May be it's a Styx male. Maybe I'm wrong too...
Whisker pattern is the best way to match individuals but they are not always completely visible. The whisker pattern fits almost exactly with the second male's picture except for the two missing blue dots which could be covered up by hair or lost by the lack of lighting or something.

Chene how many birminghams did he fight was it witnessed? who were the 2 b boys sighted by him if u managed to id them?

Well at least this time the three of them were together but it's the same thing as always, Tynio and Mfumo always together, they then join Nsuku and Nhenha just roams around alone, it's not correct to say lions have personalities but they do have different temperaments, lions act entirely different from one another.

nehna is always with nsuku and every so often one of them hangs out with tinyo and mfumo. Recently the birminghams do seem to be spending more time as a trio or all 4 though.
I think this is the first male lion the birminghams have killed. The matimbas pretty much gifted them this territory, they just left. Its kinda crazy how little conflict the birminghams have seen over their life spans.

Birmingham/Gowrie Males - MalaMala Game Reserve, Gareth Walker 26 Sept 2017 Then 2 Gowrie males appeared and, after a brief standoff, the Matshipiri male jogged off. The action was far from over as later in the day a herd of buffalo entered the fray and paid the ultimate price. We watched the Gowrie males bring down a bull whilst, 100m away, the Kambula pride brought down a cow.

I'm very curious with the males which fight the Birminghams, but if this males came from kruger and try to expand territory, Could this males which fight the Birminghams is the Mluwati Males? Because i found in this fb page https://www.facebook.com/Mluwati-Male-Li...924619614/ that this coalition dominate the territory in southern imbali, hoyo-hoyo, and hamilton, so i think it is possible if this males came to Birminghams territory, because they territory is not too far.
But that just my assumption..... and maybe not right
Also i want to know from you guys, what coalition whose territory in kruger or outside sabi sands is directly border with birminghams?

I do remember Tristan from safari live talking about the Birminghams are fortunate that before a strong coalition come to Bboys territory they have to past the thanda impi,skybeds and such and such coalition. I am sure some of these guys saw that episode.
