There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

ABOUT THIS FORUM
When AVA was hacked and I said goodbye, I got a number of proposals to start a new forum. Sanjay was the best and he delivered in all respects. We are co-owners and the intention is to get to a good forum. Apollo and Guate were asked to mod. Moderating is by no means easy, as posters have many masks. Don't forget you can help them.
TIGRIS
As you have some experience with forums, you, as a member, could and should have contacted Sanjay some time ago about hackers and connected. Most members didn't know about the identity of the hacker, because they are interested in something different. You did. I agree most people learn the hard way, but you could have made a difference. Being wise after the event is a serious deduction of points. How about a few contributions in this thread? Tell us about the things you learned and don't forget to add the details.
COPTERS
We all know you are a highly motivated competitor in the category 'Two faces and then some'. I didn't see any challengers so far. The reason is this is a forum about animals. Wrong stage, that is. You are kindly requested to advice your second face to move elsewhere, as this is not the place to show his abilities. Tell 'm we're not interested in bad friends, secrets, games and connected.
When we started this forum, we talked about you before you joined. Sanjay is a very kind and able man, so we agreed on optimism. My guess is he could be more interested in something different after your friends visit and your casual comment. My advice is to think things over. When you can't resist tricks, start a forum on magic and leave. When you like to continue, contribute. You are good when you feel like it, which resulted in extra points. They are now gone, of course. The choice is yours, but don't forget twice is too much.
THE HACKER
The internet is a great invention, but there are serious flip sides. One of these is privacy. Although I appreciate his courage, I do not agree with Snowden. Humans and the strive for power are intertwined and we all know some will stop at nothing. The result very often is destruction and the solution is identity (and not privacy).
Copters' former friend, in the days of AVA, logged many members. I was one. One day, someone told me about a mail allegedly signed by me. The owner of the Carnivora forum, most unfortunately, didn't contact me but immediately decided it was indeed me. He didn't apologize after Yuku told him my account was hacked and used to stir things up, so I decided to help him out.
Half a year after the event, the hacker decided he needed more excitement. This forum was selected, but Sanjay saw him. The hacker was a bit disappointed when he was caught in the act, but his last post was remarkable in that he was very honest about his motives, not to mention his opinion about himself. At least, this is what I concluded after I had replaced the one he addressed (Sanjay) with the one and only (the hacker himself).
THE FUTURE
As it is human nature to go for power, abuse and destruction whenever possible and privacy is one of the best covers to create havoc, we have to accept there will be more attempts to destroy this forum. So far, Sanjay, who didn't know about the hacker, did a good job. I propose to help him out and the best way to do so is to make this forum a good one. My advice is to refrain from animosity when posting. Try to concentrate on info and quality.
How detect a hacker? My experience says it's usually very easy to see what can't be missed in that those out for trouble do not respect limits right from the start. Subtle at first maybe, but undeniable. The unwillingness to communicate in line with accepted rules of conduct is a sure giveaway of bad intentions. This is what members should remember foremost. It's different from disagreeing in that the desire to dominate and win a debate at every cost can be felt right from the start. When you feel you're being treated without respect, inform the mods. Remember this forum is a joint venture in the end.
And the mods? When they are sure, they act. And we don't do temporary bans. You now know why.
