Recently discovering that one of the most effective ways of estimating the size of an animal with a person as a reference is by the width of the shoulders. I was looking at these photos of the specimen captured in Mallorca in March 1969. It looks like it could be at least 6 meters long in the measurement of TOT? If you notice the man in the white shirt at the shark's feet, it's just some math when the length of the shark is the same as the width of the man's shoulders?
