On one hand I’m so happy, this really improves his chances, especially considering he ate food after the treatment. On the other hand tho, the vets have possibly just saved a key member in the strongest coalition in Savuti. How is that fair for the surrounding lions? It would make sense if it was a HWC but Sekoti had no exterior injuries. I’m extremely intrigued to find the reason for vet care.
Perhaps they suspect, or have evidence of, poisoning?
That’s not the worst theory but I doubt he’d have been poisoned, speaking from experience, I know ppl who had a dog that was poisoned during work, the dog and owner worked in security, and it was all over pretty fast. I don’t think it lasted anymore than 2 days, maybe not even that, and the dog was throwing up a lot. Obviously lions would react differently than dogs but Sekoti hasn’t had any of these symptoms as far as I’m aware. I seriously doubt he’d survive a week and a half after being poisoned without any immediate vet care. I, however, do agree with whatever he has possibly coming from humans hence them helping him.
