There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

"Quarantine male was found late afternoon moving about. When we first saw him he was following a few Zebra and water buck. Soon after they moved away from him and he continued to search for a meal."

From Londolozi Game Reserve, The Week in Pictures #241:
"The Mashaba female looks up from feeding on her impala kill in the dawn light. This was a fantastic sighting, for the simple reason that she and her cub had been reunited after a long hiatus. Look out for an update on this pair next week."

"The Makhotini male leopard walks away from the Ostrich, who he had just chased for the fourth time on this morning."

"The 4:4 male is one you need a long lens to get good photographs of, as he so rarely allows vehicles close to him. On this occasion we were hanging well back to try and photograph him in his surroundings, and he obliged by scent marking along the edge of the Maxabene Riverbed."

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, 23 July 2016:
"The young Kigelia female was found last night and we followed her for quite a distance in the early evening as she was hunting and eventually were lucky enough to watch her steal some meat from a hyena which she took up a tree."

"We located three of the Southern Pride females and the two cubs chasing a clan of Spotted Hyenas. All this attention drew the attention of Maxabeni who climbed a tree and fed on some old skin before being chased off by the lions too. He decided there was way too much pressure from the other larger predators around so he quickly made his way out of the area, aided by the fact he had a lioness on his tail the whole way. "

Inyati Game Lodge:
We found Tlangisa mating with Homelite. Sadly this confirms that her last litter did not survive. But, true to her usual behaviour she is getting on with it and looking to the future.
