From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, 03 August '17: "White Dam's young cub has been seen fighting with the Mahlathini male and chased him off of what is Maxabeni's territory."
From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, 07 August '17: "Maxabeni was found with a very large stomach after feeding on a recent Nyala bull he brought down not too far away from Bush Lodge."
From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, 07 August '17: "This morning the Kashan male made an appearance after his tracks were found all over the Western sector of our property the day before. He showed some interest in a herd of Impala until he found a comfortable spot to rest as the weather was slightly dull."
From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve: "Maxabeni was resting next to an impala kill. His well-deserved rest was soon disturbed by the White Dam male leopard and a clan of Spotted Hyenas, but he stood his ground and showed them who's in charge of the kill."
Maxabeni was marking territory and patrolling from the Western sector of his territory until he found a waterhole with dense shade and decided to settle down to rest as we enter the heat of the day here on the reserve.
From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve: "Last night we found the Kashane male moving from Suite 8, all the way to the Amber Presidential Suite at Earth Lodge. A spectacular way to end the day with one of the famous male leopards at Sabi Sabi."
Despite what looks like some fresh bite marks on the side of his neck, Xovonekela was munching away on an impala he killed earlier in the day. He is being seen a lot more in the South of our property and seems like his territory is starting to increase into our reserve more so now than before.
The Bike is dead. Make no mistake, this is an extremely bitter pill for many of us to swallow. He gave us countless memories during his remarkable life, a life that in time, deserves to be celebrated and remembered. With regard to the cause of his death... bite marks were visible on his lower back but it is not clear what animal inflicted them.

Lower back bite marks means that multiple attackers were present, considering Lions are known to attack that area while another distracts the front, it's probably safe to say who the culprits were.
This morning we had a wonderful sighting of the Dayone male and Ravenscourt having a heated argument with each other. They were seen about sixty meters apart , growling at each other and drooling a lot from the mouth but they did not make any contact.
What an incredible sighting this morning!! Despite this large warthog putting up a good fight, Kashane male leopard was successful in securing a meal for himself!
