Matt comments on something I had seen in other sightings, and its that one of the younger cus seems to have a very dark orange coating...really stands out from the siblings.
Amazing moment with the cubs. If I'm not wrong, there are three males and two females. The two cubs with dark coat are males.
I think so too. And that's perfect imo, 3 females for the longevity of the pride and 2 males who can form a coalition in the future.
Really curious to know how these males will develop into subadults with the dark coats
Great footage of Red Road and Nharu pride in these slides. We also see RRM mating with a lioness with a collar around her neck, does anyone know which lioness that is? Doesn't look like one of the younger ones to me, so not the RR daughters (could be wrong though), nor the oldest (they have cubs), so the Thandi Imp offspring lioness remains (10yo)?

Also interesting that his son is not there.
In my opinion, the collared female is a young female, daughter of RRM already around 5 years old.
The Thanda Imp daughter and the remaining Birmingham female are the mothers of the 5 cubs usually seen together. Here a picture of them, both lionesses full black nose (that means 8+ years old). Thanda Imp female is 8-9 years old and Birmingham female is 14 years old.

Thanks! Makes sense. Well then this confirms that RR is mating with his daughters. (I think you earlier said that the single cub may also be of other daughter.)
Not surprising given the length of his reign over the pride.... but not desired from a genetic point of view. The pride needs new males, just like the Mbiri pride has needed them for a long time (they may have them now finally, we don't know yet, no good updates on the Mbiris for a while). Timing wise now is a very bad time for the cubs though. And like I said earlier on SS thread I don't see other males defeating RR and Nharus so easily atm

I'm a little confused as to the identity of these Nharu lionesses. In the previous Tintswalo video, if I remember correctly, Matt was referring to the two lionesses with cubs 'Silver Eye' and 'Broken Tail'. However I noticed in this one that the lioness with the silver (or bad) eye is also the lioness with the broken tail. So is this the same lioness? Or is Silver Eye another of the original lionesses that wasn't in this video? Which doesn't make sense as all the cubs are here and they appear to be moving them to a knew den, and Silver Eye has been stated many times to be one of the mothers of this new generation of cubs.
There was definitely only one older lioness in this video, the other two looked to me to be the Thanda Impi daughter and one of Red Road's daughters. And it looked to me like all three had milk pouches, indicating that all three are mothers.

yes, Silver Eye is the same Lioness as broken tail. she is the mother of the oldest litter of three .
the mother of the second litter of two is a Thanda Impi daughter.
the mother of the youngest litter of One is a Red Road daughter.
but I did notice that on the most recent video from Matt, that only 5 cubs were present so I hope the sixth and youngest is just tucked away in a den.
all three of the old Original 3 are alive. One is collared from what I recall....not all lionesses are present in this video....there is a group of non mothers that is sort of split off and is the portion that usually has the red road son accompaying.

Thank you for the clarification! And great to hear all three of the old lionesses are still alive and kicking, if Red Road's going to stay around the more lionesses not related to him the better.
Perhaps most of his remaining daughters will form a breakaway and then it would just be the one RR daughter still in the main pride.
