"After finding some lion tracks, we followed them until we found a large male lion, one of the Birmingham coalition, sitting close to small pan. He yawned and looked towards us in some beautiful early morning light which provided some wonderful photo opportunities."

"A nearby watering hole provided plenty of photographic action as a breeding herd of buffalo quenched their thirst, soon joined by an elephant. We then headed off in search of the Birmingham coalition of male lions who rule the northern parts of the Sabi Sands. We found the three of them sleeping in an open area. We left the sighting for a brief sundowner stop before heading back, and were just in time to photograph them as they woke up, yawned, groomed and as if in a finale, roared all around us. What an experience!"

i always look for him when i want to identify the Birmingham coalition because his looks is so unique. I don know about you guys but i alway feel he looks like the joker in the badman movie. He will always be remembered RIP boy!

"We then headed to a nearby watering hole just as the sun was setting and found two Nkuhuma lionesses with a male from the Birmingham coalition. He gave us a great show as he went to the waters edge to drink before settling on a granite outcrop. We positioned the vehicle at eye-level which allowed us some amazing opportunities, and our guests were ecstatic."
