There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Photo of the measurement of Kalia's skull, each point on the ruler is one inch. The question I ask is the following: the DCL of the skull is 74.5 cm (Sudhakar Kar) or 73.3 cm (Romulus Whitaker) and the length of the mandible is 99 cm?

Quote:It was a male specimen belonging to the Saltwater crocodile species that was killed in the early 1980s in Cambodia after devouring two children. After analyzing his photographs and skull, he was estimated to have a size of around 6.40 meters in length. and around 1200 kgs of weight. His skull and photographs are currently at the Ah Pai Hui mini zoo in Cambodia. Note the size of the skull, which appears to be proportional to that of Lolong.
