Even after a large meal lions are opportunistic and will not just allow an opportunity for a meal to pass by. After finishing off a Giraffe carcass the River Pride and Vuyela males took to a shady drainage line to allow their large meal to settle. During the heat of the day a buffalo had the same idea and moved into the drainage line for shade presenting the lions with an opportunity of which they took full advantage.

A formidable force in the Timbavati. It’s incredible how much they’ve grown in the past years! They’re beasts now

I would say they are formidable in the scale of entire Kruger. Their competition with Skorro males showed that they are not messing around. I would expect that even with equal numbers those guys could square with just about anyone. As a 5 such guys they are really formidable.

Agree with you, my friend. They’re definitely a coalition to don’t mess with
It shows that their split is like that of the Mapogo, although they are 2 different "groups", they still meet up and are in good terms, which is great to see since the last time I had seen them together was a long time ago when the brothers attacked the solo male thinking he was an outsider.
It's good for the solo BDM to keep his bond with the other brothers, you never know when you'll need it.
