There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

a little tired of using daily motion which is very bad for posting videos... does anyone know how I could post videos directly? This embed system is mediocre, not to say bad.

It was probably just a scrap for mating rights, nothing serious.

This video is just an attempt to exaggerate. At least that's what it looks like as I watched it.

We don't know why he looks ragged again.  It's all speculation in the end.  He has never been seen scrapping with his partners, in fact, he's often alone and occasionally will show affection, but he's a lion used to being alone and does not feel the need to reaffirm bonds very frequently, but he will do that on occasion because he's like an older brother/father-figure to them and he feels like he's guided them to be successful males somewhat.

It's all much ado about nothing if the pics of him with the 2 lionesses was taken after any altercation.  He's fine even if beat up.  All male lions are used to conflict, especially if territorial.  This is a resilient lion, past the age of 10.

The first time people were all over the 'Net saying he was killed, etc....

I don't see how the video is exaggerated, it only says and shows Dreadlocks being hurt, and the poster provide a hypothesis of the events.

Yes I felt the same and the footage in the video did not provide evidence about what was being narrated about dreadlocks. Seemed like a lot of hyperbole.
