we can look at its stomach during capture, it didn't ate the bait , yes it was 230kg on scale .

You’re better off not making assumptions especially when the source is TOI.

okk bro there are various videos on it , interview of park authorities and there are 10 other newpapapers and some digitial media  too , how u sure i am making assumptions and this is fake ?????????

And can you show a single one with the Tigers weight being verified from the person involved?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcoSrVVnDNE , its on video , weighted 230kg after medical check up . https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city...905866.cms ,  they might release the report in public too .

It's the same as the article, both published by TOI. It's just the article "made for tv" version.

various other newspapers(more than donze) too wrote this just google it , they categorically mentioned the word "weighted" ,its most likely 100% they have been told by vet,  for me and many other people its confirmed . . u should urself mail the vet or park ranger .for me and many other people its 100%  confirmed . afterall 230kg is not a huge figure , its longer than that 215kg corbett male that was translocated to rajaji . also it looks bigger than that from different angle .
There is no Vet mentioned, just "teams,'' Alok Pathak is possible but he's private and part of the DFO not a vet unfortunately.
We've gone through this with TOI for years, I'll wait for clarification before confirmation.
And I'm not sure which Corbett male you're referring to but 6' and 230kg don't generally go together. Any Tiger not close to 190cm or more will generally be around the 180-200kg range unless completely full or a very unusual cat.
The Pilibhit male is a good example, he was measured in a straight line with a massive chest girth and very tall *probably measured tip of paw* and he was 192kg. He was shorter than this male though but his chest was massive, almost as large as Branders. His was 56'' compared to Branders at 59''
In comparison this male shown in the article would be longer but no way he's as large in the chest and certainly doesn't look 40kg's larger than the male I mentioned.

that 192kg pilibhit male was too short than this with 142 cm chest girth , see mt3 thin dead corpse weighted 192kg on scale https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hJT8SAAwgA    , there is not only TOI there are dozen more newspapers too https://www.msn.com/en-in/sports/cricket...p-AA132xGW , and few digital media too , i have seen 235kg  chedilal(menioned in wti) myself at luckhnow zoo , i don't think its much smaller , its most likely this 230kg data is 100% legit . now try to contact them get more clear if u wish.
You keep saying “dozen or more” yet the 3 links you’ve provided thus far are the same TOI article. None of which have the measurements quoted by anyone involved with the capture or alleged measurements taken.
The Pilibhit male was actually measured and weighed, you have verification for him not so with this male as of now.

DB Tech and Travel has nothing to do with the capture.
You need verifiable sources who actually participated in the capture and alleged measuring. Forest Department, Vet, Capture team, etc.

naah i don't think they will quote a fake figure its most likely forest team  told them , 230kg is possible  and not a very high figure , if girth is 134-136cm then it must be like that ,even if it ate the bait goat then it would be like 220-223 kg empty . on hotstar there is a documentary on matka  in which it being said matka is a 500lbs tiger . thats a estimate ,i think matka could be 220 becoz he is bigger than gabbar ,see both gabbar and matka with maya . gabbar weighted 185kg in summer in bad shape , in peak condition gabbar must be like 200-210kg .

The info I got was regarding the specimens reintroduced during the 2008-2013 period and the researcher too no longer works there. The event you've referred to took place like 2 weeks ago iirc and I don't have any info on that male.
okk, may be they should release the booklet like panna or someone should contact the present vet , i too have heard a very large figure about st21 yuvraj and this male too looks long and heavy .

Yuvraj/St21 is probably one of the biggest tiger from his region, pretty tall at the shoulders too and has a huge frame.

Yuvraj with St9 (previously known as Bina 1, she weighed 122kg as a 2 year old cub, her sister Bina 2 or St10 from the same litter weighed 133kg). St9 in the present day probably walks around 150kg+ is my best guess. she’s a huge tigress. both the sisters are daughters of T25 aka Dollar male/Zalim and T5/Kachida tigress. they have an interesting story, both the sisters were only 4 months old when their mother T5 (Kachida tigress) died as a result of blocked intestine and to everyone’s surprise. their father (T25/Dollarmale or Zalim) helped raised the cubs and when they turned 2. they were shifted to Sariska. (we shared this in the past, back in ava days). insane, if some of these things weren’t documented. no one would have known. male tigers are probably some of the most underestimated animals in terms of their parenting capabilities and in the last decade. it’s been proven that they help raise the cubs to full maturity whenever given the chance by providing care, protection, spending quality time with their cubs and even sharing their kills to ensure the whole family eats.

Of course they do, they do it all the time. TOI is known to do that.
Again, quoting media outlets estimates mean nothing. Matka is small, who knows if he was bigger than Gabbar or not, but regardless he's a small male. The idea that Gabbar must be 200-210 isn't factual, he was weighed in a healthy condition and his weight was his weight.

okk, may be they should release the booklet like panna or someone should contact the present vet , i too have heard a very large figure about st21 yuvraj and this male too looks long and heavy .

St9/Bina 1

t120 has grown very huge now , he is darfing big tigress riddhi

These types of images can be misleading

Whether or not his weight is factual, that's an average sized Tiger.

DB Tech and Travel has nothing to do with the capture.
You need verifiable sources who actually participated in the capture and alleged measuring. Forest Department, Vet, Capture team, etc.

lol , looks like alok pathak is not on social media , okk you should visit satpura to see it , if its bigger than matka then its 230kg .
Pathak never stated his size, did he?
You’re confusing the article with actual quotes from a person.
And why would you think Matka is close to that size?

naah i don't think they will quote a fake figure its most likely forest team  told them , 230kg is possible  and not a very high figure , if girth is 134-136cm then it must be like that ,even if it ate the bait goat then it would be like 220-223 kg empty . on hotstar there is a documentary on matka  in which it being said matka is a 500lbs tiger . thats a estimate ,i think matka could be 220 becoz he is bigger than gabbar ,see both gabbar and matka with maya . gabbar weighted 185kg in summer in bad shape , in peak condition gabbar must be like 200-210kg .

Of course they do, they do it all the time. TOI is known to do that.
Again, quoting media outlets estimates mean nothing. Matka is small, who knows if he was bigger than Gabbar or not, but regardless he's a small male. The idea that Gabbar must be 200-210 isn't factual, he was weighed in a healthy condition and his weight was his weight.
well if u see both gabbar and matka with maaya u would know this , matka is noticebly bigger .its not rocket science here , people can easily found it  there are videos of gabbar and matka with maya . gabbar was collared after he fought matka and in summer . here is gabbar immediately few days after collaring

that’s a pretty good estimation, Gabbar was probably in that weight range during peak winter. also i always felt Matka was 210-220kg range in his prime and in the present day. maybe 190-200ish? he wasn’t the biggest of males if we compare it to all the others but Matka definitely made up for it by his sheer dominance alone. same thing with his sons. they all rule their territories quite comfortably. Infact, CM arguably has the biggest territory in Tadoba followed closely by Shiva.

These are baseless claims. Would you say Matka was larger than Katezari or Saturn, Matkasurs father?
Because Gabbar fought both and was close in size to both. Gabbar was also a more muscular Tiger in comparison. Matka is small, he’s not big framed but he was bulky in his prime. He’s not going to dwarf Gabbar by any stretch. Gabbar also gave Matka his busted nose when they used to call Matkasur, Pandu. Gabbar mated with Maya after his win.

I’m regards to your claim that 220kg is easily obtained by a male Tiger, that’s not the case. If you’re talking about Empty then that’s really not the case. And with Matkasurs small stature I’d say it’s very likely he was around 200kg at best, especially without a full belly.
