There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

That scenario would be disaster, so lets hope that isnt the case and that they will reunite soon.
It looks like sub adults are doing good on their own, possibly do not need support of older Othawa female anymore.
They are a far cry from even being 2yo, of course they need her. But also, she needs them too. What will she do without them, live as a lone lioness until she tries to rebuild her pride from nothing? These cubs are her best chance, in a couple of months they'll be very useful to hunt together and if by some miracle they make to 3yo she'll be in a much safer position.

They do need each other. It looks like Sassy knows what she is doing. She might just want to take a break to recover.

Sorry guys….I screwed up on this ID….it is not Othowas….it is Southern Pride. Now the mother remark makes more sense. My bad.
